LDAP

Overview

In Data Hub Service (DHS), you can authenticate and authorize service security users with an external Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server. To use an external LDAP server, you must allow DHS to access your LDAP server by creating an LDAP configuration in DHS. Once DHS can access your external LDAP server, you must add your LDAP configuration to your service and then map service roles to LDAP roles.

To learn more about external security, see External Security in the Security Guide.

Important: You must set up an external LDAP server before configuring LDAP external authentication and authorization in DHS.
Important: If using an external LDAP server, one or more users must exist in the Security Admin DN in the external LDAP server before you can map service roles to LDAP roles.
