Manage DHS Service Admins

About this task

This task manages Service Administrators who have access to specific Data Hub Service (DHS) instances. Service Administrators and Security Administrators can give other Service Administrators access to DHS instances they create, giving the ability to view and update a specific DHS instance.
Important: For this task, you must log into your DHS portal with the Security Administrator (SEC-ADMIN) or Service Administrator (SERV-ADMIN) portal role. See Portal Security Roles.

Procedure

  1. Go to the MarkLogic Data Hub Service home page.
  2. Navigate to your DHS instance to manage Service Administrators for that DHS instance.
    • In the Service column, click the service name.

    Tip: You can customize your dashboard with column sorting, column configuring, and services searching and filtering. See Customize DHS Dashboard.
  3. In the Data Hub Service page, click Manage Admins.

  4. In the Manage Admins modal window, select the portal user(s) you want to access your DHS instance.

    Note: You do not need to give Security Administrators (SEC-ADMIN) access to your DHS instance. SEC-ADMINs can access all DHS instances created by portal users.
  5. Click Save.

What to do next

The Service Administrators are displayed in the Data Hub Service page of your DHS instance.

Note: The Service Administrator highlighted in green is the owner of the DHS instance.
To confirm the added Service Administrator has access to your DHS instance, the added Service Administrator must navigate to their dashboard and locate your DHS instance.
