Edit a DHS Instance User Account

About this task

This task updates an existing Data Hub Service (DHS) user account in your DHS instance. You can manage the roles assigned to an existing user account and assign a new password; however, you cannot modify the username of the account.
Important: For this task, you must log into your DHS portal with the Security Administrator (SEC-ADMIN) or Service Administrator (SERV-ADMIN) portal role. See Portal Security Roles.

Procedure

  1. Go to the MarkLogic Data Hub Service home page.
  2. Navigate to your DHS instance to edit a user account.
    • In the Service column, click the service name.

    Tip: You can customize your dashboard with column sorting, column configuring, and services searching and filtering. See Customize DHS Dashboard.
  3. In the Data Hub Service page,

    1. Click Internal.
    2. Click Manage Users.
  4. In the Manage Service page, find the user account to edit.
    • In the Username column, click the username.

  5. In the Update Service User page, select additional roles to assign the user or deselect roles to unassign.

    • (Optional) You can update the user description.
    • (Optional) You can reset the user's password by assigning a new one.
  6. Click Update.
