Global Settings

Overview

The Global Settings allows the user to alter four primary settings from the main interface.


Hub Central - Global Settings

Provenance Granualarity

This setting describes the level of detail in a documented trail that shows the origin of data and where it has moved.

Options for this setting include: course-grained and fine-grained


Hub Central - Global Settings - PG

Falsy Values

This setting determines if the mapping entity instances return null values or not.

Options for this setting include: retain and discard

Target Permissions

This setting creates a comma-delimited string that defines the permissions required to access the process record.

The string must appear in this format: role, compatibility, role, compatibility

Entity Validation

This setting determines whether to sort each document for accuracy against each entity type definition and how to manage documents with errors.

Options for this setting include: Do Not Validate, Store Validation Errors in Entity Headers, Skip Documents with Validation Errors

Advanced Settings

In the various steps in Hub Central, the user may select the 'Use Global Settings' option or a specific value for each feature.

All steps will apply the Global Settings options for steps created after the Data Hub 6.1 update.

Note: Users will have to change each step manually to use the Global Settings default option for steps created before the Data Hub 6.1 update.
