Schema Configuration Help

Schemas specifies a set of global namespace-uri to schema-location XML Schema mappings. Web applications can freely use the configured namespace URIs. For example, if the mapping

http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml xhtml1.1.xsd

appears, then all web applications may use the xhtml namespace without having to explicitly define the schema-location in a schema declaration.

The following are the fields to configure for each schema mapping on the Schema Configuration page:

• namespace URI specifies a namespace URI.
• schema location specifies the location for a schema. The location must either be relative to the Config directory under the directory in which MarkLogic is installed, or a URI of a document in the schemas database for the cluster (the database named Schemas by default).

• Clicking the delete button on the Schema Configuration page deletes the schema definition for the corresponding schema.
• Click the Add tab to add more schema definitions.
