A
Protected Path
enables a set of XML elements or JSON properties to be protected
by Element Level Security.
A protected path is stored in the security database.
For each protected path, specify the following:
path-expression
specifies the path expression.
path-namespaces
specifies the namespace bindings used by the path-expression.
A
permission
is a pairing of a role with a capability (read, insert, update,
execute). default permissions are
optional fields that specify the default document permissions
associated with the user. If the user does not explicitly specify
permissions during document creation, the document will have the
user's default permissions
path-set
specifies the path-set used by the protected-path.
Buttons and Tabs:
The
Summary
tab displays a list of all of the currently configured
protected paths, including the permissions assigned to each
protected path.
The
Describe
tab, accessible from the Configuration page for each protected path,
lists all of the permissions associated with the
protected path.
The
Create
tab allows you to create protected paths.
The
delete
button deletes the protected path permanently.
