A Host is an instance of MarkLogic Server. A Group is a set of similarly configured hosts.
- Configurations are set at the group level and applied to all hosts within the group.
- Clicking on a host from the Configure tab navigates to that host's admin page, where you can change group membership.
- host name specifies the name of the host.
- group specifies the group to which the host belongs.
- bind port specifies the port on which the server listens for inter-host communication.
- foreign bind port specifies the port on which the server listens for foreign inter-host communication.
- zone specifies the zone of the host.
