xdmp:caller-dialect

xdmp:caller-dialect() as xs:string?

Summary

Returns the dialect (e.g., "javascript", "1.0-ml", etc) of the caller or the empty sequence if no dialect information is available. Note that the return is not the language the function that calls this built-in is written in; it is the dialect the function is called from. For example, if a JavaScript program calls function "foo", which uses xdmp:caller-dialect, then the return from xdmp:caller-dialect will be “javascript” even if "foo" is implemented in XQuery.
