xdmp:filesystem-file-delete(
   $pathname as xs:string
) as empty-sequence()

Summary

Deletes the file specified by pathname. Returns the empty sequence upon success.

Parameters
pathname Pathname of the file to be deleted.

Usage Notes

This can also be used to delete an empty directory.

Example

  xdmp:filesystem-file-delete("/mydata/datafiles/oldfile.txt")
  => ()
