sql:year(
   $arg as genericDateTimeArg?
) as xs:integer?

Summary

Returns an xs:integer representing the year component in the localized value of $arg. The result may be negative.

If $arg is the empty sequence, returns the empty sequence.

Parameters
arg The dateTime/date/string whose day component will be returned.

Example

sql:year(xs:dateTime("1999-05-31T13:20:00-05:00"))
=> 1999

Example

sql:year("1999-05-31T13:20:00-05:00")
=> 1999
