Host Configuration Help

A Host is an instance of MarkLogic Server.

• host name specifies the name of the host.
• group specifies the group to which the host belongs.
• bind port specifies the port on which the server listens for inter-host communication.
• foreign bind port specifies the port on which the server listens for foreign inter-host communication.
• zone specifies the zone of the host.

Buttons and Tabs:

• The leave button on the host configuration screen only appears if the Admin Interface is connected to that host. Clicking the leave button will separate the host from the cluster.
• In a multi-host cluster, a host cannot leave the cluster if there are still forests assigned to it or if there are any foreign clusters associated with it.
• In a single-host cluster, a host cannot leave the cluster.
• The Status tab displays current information for the specified host.
