App Server Summary Help
The App Server summary page provides an overview of all currently
defined application servers (HTTP, WebDAV, XDBC and ODBC servers).
Clicking on the header of any column on the summary page sorts the
table by that column. The values in each column are desribed
below.
-
App Server is the user
defined name of the HTTP, WebDAV, XDBC and ODBC server. The other
columns refer to information about the server named in the
App Server column. Clicking on the App Server name opens
the configuration page for that server.
-
Group is the name of the
group to which the App Server belongs. Clicking on this name
opens the configuration page for the named group.
-
Type is the App Server type
(HTTP, WebDAV, XDBC or ODBC).
-
Database is the database
associated with the server for query execution. Clicking on
this name opens the configuration page for the named database.
-
IP Address is the IP address
on which the server is listening. A value of 0.0.0.0 indicates
the server is listening on the default interface for the machine.
-
Port is the port number on
which the server is listening. Clicking on the port opens a new
browser window to the address and port for the specified
App Server (that is, it opens a connection to the specified
App Server).
Buttons and Tabs:
- The
Summary
tab displays a list of all of the currently configured App Servers,
along with the configuration information for each App Server.
- The
Configure
tab is where you change App Server settings.
- The
Status
tab displays current information on all App Servers in the
group, including query activity. You can cancel currently running
queries on the App Server status page.
- Use the
Create HTTP,
Create WebDAV,
Create XDBC, and
Create ODBC
tabs to create new App Servers of the appropriate type.
HTTP servers service XQuery and HTTP requests over HTTP,
WebDAV servers allow access to a database via a WebDAV client,
XDBC, and ODBC servers service requests from XCC, XDBC or ODBC clients.
