What's New in MarkLogic 11

Enhancements to Server UIs

In MarkLogic 11.2, the Administration, Query Console, Monitoring Dashboard, and Monitoring History user interfaces have been rebranded to use colors and logos consistent with the Progress product ecosystem.

Additionally, a number of improvements have been made to the Administration interface to improve performance, especially on large clusters:

  1. The database and forest status pages have been reworked to retrieve less information when they are initially loaded. This reduces contention in the list cache on busy systems and improve overall load time of the status pages. To achieve this, the status pages now use modal dialogs to display the detailed rebalancing and reindexing status information. These dialogs can be refreshed without a full refresh of the status pages, also making it easier to observe the progress of the rebalancing and reindexing processes.

  2. Parts of the left navigation tree are now loaded dynamically when expanded by the user. e.g. the subtrees for hosts and forests, which can grow to very large lists, are only loaded when expanded. This reduces the overall load time of all pages, especially for clusters with large numbers of hosts and/or forests.
